About the iPointer API

The iPointer API allows you to add the ability to simply point at a found object, and instantly get content relating to that object to your application utilizing the following libraries from the iPointer API:

Identify Object: This request identifies resources or objects being pointed at. The parameters of the request define a pointing location and direction, representing the client’s position and aiming direction. The response describes the object being pointed at with its most important characteristics such as:

  • Distance to Object
  • Address
  • Details
    • Property Type (Residential Single Family, etc.,)
    • Bedrooms
    • Bathrooms
    • Area in Square feet
    • Size of lot in acreage
    • Year built
    • Date last sold
    • Price it last sold for

Terms of Use

iPointer provides this API for commercial use, by applying and receiving an API Key you are agreeing to the iPointer API Terms of Use. In addition, all websites and applications that present data from the iPointer API must adhere to the Attribution Guidelines which includes among other things that you display a “Powered by iPointer.com” logo on your site or application. About the Data in this API

The data available through the iPointer API is derived from aggregated data on property information, trends and search activity available at api.ipointer.com. Although iPointer attempts to ensure the accuracy of the information it publishes, it does not represent, warrant or guarantee the accuracy of the data (more at Terms of Use). We will be adding more data into the API into the future, if there is something you’d like to see then let us know. While iPointer works hard to include as property information as possible, we are dependent on our users and data sources vendors to provide this information consequently you may see differences in certain geographic regions between data that is derived from the different sources within this API.
